COCOVOLT DATA PRIVACY AND DATA SECURITY STATEMENT (DATED 2.1.2024)
1. Introduction
This statement describes Cocovolt’s principles related to data security and privacy procedures.
Cocovolt understands the importance of data security related to personal information and is committed to the careful handling of data, ensuring that it is properly secured.
We collect your information only to be able to provide service to you and to further develop it.
2. Data Security
Our information system has been developed with modern data security procedures, and we utilize modern data encryption methods when transferring sensitive information via telecommunications connections to protect your data, as well as all of our customers’ and our system’s data.
3. Data storaging
The data collected by our system is stored globally in the Azure infrastructure cloud service, which is secured by even the most demanding solutions, and is operated and secured by Microsoft (www.microsoft.com).
4. Payment Transactions And Payment Method Information
Cocovolt uses digital payment services provided by Stripe Thailand for all functions related to payment transactions. Cocovolt does not store your payment method information in our own system at all but relies entirely on services provided by Stripe.
When you enter, for example, your credit card information into our application, it is only registered in Stripe’s service, and Stripe is responsible for the handling and care of this information. Stripe is a globally known operator in payment traffic (www.stripe.com/).
5. Personal Information
As part of the service Cocovolt provides to its customers, we temporarily transfer our property into their use.
Therefore, we need to collect sufficiently detailed information about them so that we can use the information to identify our customers and, if necessary, prevent and confront criminal, fraudulent, or activity contrary to our terms of delivery.
6. Location Information
Our application uses the precise location information of the device used by our customers to display the customer’s own location in map functions and during the delivery of orders.
The application does not transfer location data from the device to our system, except in the situation where the customer has made an order whose delivery is in progress. In this case, the customer’s precise location information is transmitted to our backend system and shared with the member of our team performing the delivery.
Similarly, the precise location information of our team member is transmitted through our backend system to the customer’s Cocovolt application. This allows us to provide real-time information about the delivery situation and enable a successful and smooth delivery.
8. Sharing Of Information
In principle, we do not share the information you have provided to us with any external party without your specific consent to do so, unless legislation or an official order obliges us to do so.
The exception to this is external service providers used to produce our service, such as infrastructure supplier (Microsoft), email service provider (SendGrid), and financial process service provider (Stripe).
Even in these cases, only necessary information is shared with the service provider.
9. Changes And Validity
The Cocovolt service is continuously developing and provides new useful and significant services to its customers.
For this reason, this statement is valid indefinitely, and Cocovolt reserves the right to change it as necessary.
Cocovolt will inform its customers of any changes to this statement.
